    ABOUT USPHS COMMISSIONED CORPS

    As one of the eight uniformed services of the United States, the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service, or USPHS Commissioned Corps, works on the front lines of public health. Their medical, health, and engineering professionals fight disease, conduct research, and care for patients in underserved communities across the nation and throughout the world.

    USPHS Commissioned Corps officers advance our nation’s public health, serving within 23 federal agencies including the Indian Health Service, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the Department of Health and Human Services (SAMHSA, CDC, FDA, CMS).

    You are invited to a session centered on entrepreneurship covering how to turn your ideas into meaningful work whether full-time or as a passion project.

    In this webinar session, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from the Global Career Guy, Dr. Brian Hutchison, with a particular focus on how the future world of work can be leveraged to help you make better career choices. Career Educators will:

    • Learn about the gig economy and how to use this option to meet practical lifestyle and career goals.
    • Understand the future possibilities for trained social workers including companion career options that will utilize your skills or broaden your spheres of influence and impact.
    • Reflect on meaningful career paths and how to move forward into your future with great hope, for yourself and your profession. 

    Attendees can use this information for their own professional development or to share out to students with an interest in entrepreneurship.
